Yet another traumatising experience. The TAXI DRIVER tried to pick me up. not pick me up from the taxi stand.Haaaa
HELP LA!
Taxi driver :" Wow..you look so young and pretty to be an engineer...i thought u were 21"
Taptap: " *roll eyes* thanks
Very funny ah. anyway this cab driver is very "young". 33 with an earring that spells " i am so not fashionable".
So anyway, i reach my house. Then this cab driver wound down the window " Can i have ur no, so i can specially pick u up from ** hotel tmr" ( u see, i am on ANOTHER training course at the hotel AGAIN..)
HELP la.
Taptap:" i think you should go"
Now that i think..very scary eh. Thankfully i din tell him where i stayed. I alighted somewhere further from my house. But anyway Tmr, i 'll carry a knife with me. I hope the hotel security dont check my bag.
Sigh.

21 guns
friday wraps up an pretty stressful week. hello to long weekend.
Job .career. I pretty like the way others look upon us. The new comers of the working world, fresh out of school, all so excited and ready for a brand new refreshing change. This excitment quickly fad into a sense of apprehension and sometimes self doubt as we grapple with the reality of the working world. The responsibilities that you shoulder and the amount of new changes and challenges ahead. No longer are you a student or an intern. Those seemed so far away and child's play. The things that you do in school, the stuff that got you through college with good results doesnt seem to work anymore.
"Your life, your career, you are in charge" . Suddenly we find ourselves out of the comfort zone and gone are the natural progressions that come with ease. The burden of seeking what you truly want in your job, of doing well in your job lies soley on you. Sometimes you dig deep into what you have got or what you think you have got to prove to the world out there you are capable. The self doubt comes in when everything you do seem so small and when expectations fall short. Expectations of others and yourself. Maybe it's all about taking things in stride, never giving up in your search to bring out the potential in you. The little pebbles or big boulders that get you down, they will make you stronger one day. Fear and setbacks are ever present in our lives. You Pick a fight and you fight to win. Sometimes we set too unrealistic goals that are doomed for failure right from the start.
This is nothing personal. And i am not refering to anyone per se. But i am just summing up what i am hearing from people around me. I am one of those, struggling to find what's my potential and dealing with setbacks. Such is life.
We had a two days career developement training over the past two days. I often find the most complex person to understand to be myself. During the class, we were suppose to identify our top 5 values. Reason being your values in your life kinda guide you towards the decisions you make. So mine was economic security, family happiness, achievement, health and personal development. I think before i try to understand others around me, i should take time to understand myself more. You know all those stuff about Myers Briggs indication. Johari windows. I think they kinda make things more complicated. Instead of understanding myself better, i m more confused. I prefer feedbacks. I was talking to the person next to me, in which we are suppose to find out more about the person based on random questions and then try to find out 3 values of that person. He couldnt, but what he wrote was pretty interesting : " Happy person, expressive and fast paced"
I never knew i came across as happy. And then, there was another sections on : "If i could lived my life again, i would..." I took up my pen and the words flowed. I never knew i had so many regrets in life and so many things i m grateful for. So i ended off with : " i would wish i never met XXX and YYY" Go figure XXX and YYY.
So much for a lighthearted post for a long weekend. Actually someone asked me why i blogged. Simple. i have no answer. It is just excuse for me not to read my book. :P
Do you know what's worth fighting for?
When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take your breath away
And you feel yourself suffocating?
Does the pain weigh out the pride?
And you look for a place to hide?
Did someone break your heart inside?
You're in ruins

That aside. So much tv shows on cheating. Doesnt anyone realise things never become the same anymore when trust has been broken? You are a fool if you think you can pretend nothing happened. There's no such things as a second chance in everything you do. There's no such things as " it's a mistake. " It's over means it's over.

on a hot saturday

sun burnt from tennis.on a sat, we went around city hall taking polaroid shots. some thai food later. all the food for 20$! i was dressed like a malay because i had sunburns on my shoulder, so cannot all my sexy dresses *___*
Like my new Coach Bag? Can still see the patch of sunburn on my chest area T___T
The only side of him that looks good. Last night, we weere talking about how we first met last year. Kinda miss all the times when we first knew each other..We talk about exs, love problems of people ariound us, pretend to be totally cool in fromt of each other..dress our best etc etc..You know the sweetest part of a relationship is always when two pple just fall in love..the guy is chasing the girl and super nice to her.. i guess girls like the feeling of being chased everynow and then. so every now and then the feeling of guys chasing me is a novelty and fun BUT it always ends up with me feeling of sorry and feeling bad.
so anyway, to keep the novelty of the relationship going, i pick up a quarrel everynow and then. Very difficult one ok, must think of new thing to quarrel each time.
tuptup: " so blah blah blah XXX and meeting u was like a dream come true"
taptap : "yup. and the dream became a nightmare"
....

Hola!
My phone is Dead and not with me. Its corpse lies somewhere near Upper Paya Lebar
That aside. Pls contact me at my office hp. Don't ask me about when we are going to buy the pump or compressor. I am especially grumpy and irritable these days. Luckily i am on leave tomorrow! hahaha. Too many days of leave. So must clear. I have enough to leave to do a 4 day work week! Oh well. Also looking forward to November to go to Bangkok to SHOP and EAT.
Oh well. I blame it on the hectic lifestyle. That i dont even have time to just stone with the wall and be with myself. I am already struggling to catch up with friends. Speaking of which, i dont know how many friends i have drifted away from. Mostly because i didnt bother to keep in touch or meet up with or because of other reasons like religion or their significant other half. No choice la, i am too pretty. And when people get into a relationship, it became harder to meet them cos they often have gf/bf duties. HAHA.
And religion. well i dont mean anything bad. It's just that some of my friends grew closer to their religion and that kinda brought us to a different wavelengths.
So oh well, u can't have the best of both worlds. I spend my free time mostly with Tuptup or playing tennis. Still sux the game.
Some random photos. See, cannnot stand not posting photos of myself. Some random photos taking at botanical garden.

Thoughts for thoughts
Whole day [post my narcissistic pictures. Bet all of you are sian of it already.
Today i shall bore all of u further with a long essay on people i dont like, life, work and marriage. They dont go hand in hand, but who cares.
Marriage.
Its crazy. everyone around me seems to be in some sort of wedding frenzy. One of my JC friend who is 24 this year just got married. Like boom. We didnt even know till pictures started showing up in facebook . I think his wife is 22 or 21? Oh man. The last time i saw them together was in NYC back in fall 2006. It's amazing how others can be so sure of the person they want to spend the rest of their life with. Maybe marriage is some kind of commitment that binds an uncertain relationship together. Maybe marriage is a step to bring a couple's relationship to a newer and higher level. Whatever it is, i cannot fathom it yet. Speaking of which, i better spend more time with my guy buddies, especially those with rock steady relationship and is looking at marriage. Because once they tie the knot, it makes it terribly hard to go out with them. Somehow, going out with a married man seems and sounds terribly wrong.
Girls.
This is random. I seldom crticise girls openly. Except once. My infamous tree trunk repertoire. Speaking of which, i have also slowly let go of an otherwise valuable friendship. It just didnt make sense how i am casted as being up to no good and disallowed to have any contacts.
Not to digress, recently, i had another dislike this particular girl. Well, this seems rather petty. I kinda bought something from her online. She claims the something i bought was brand new. Upon receival, it turned out to be not brand new. When i asked her, she insisted and lied blatantly that it is new. Whatever it is, some girls try so hard to look good on the outside, but yet are so rotten in the inside. They can never be beautiful, no matter hard they try. To me, they are like the drink cans i see on the road. Why the analogy. Because who cares so much about drink cans except the cleaner.
I dont want to question the girl who lied to me anymore. I leave it to karma. I hope her consciene is clear -- she is able to stand up to the world and speak of her deed in due dignity.
All of us have different guiding principles and philosophies in life. They kinda dictate how we behave or lead our life. It could be things like bringing happiness to the people around you, living with a clear conscience, wanting to be carefree everyday etc etc. Whats yours?
Work- Most of us are young working adults. Or i presume most of the readers here are. Work gives one some sort of financial reward, but you also find yourself shouldering responsibilities and expectations. The general complaints i hear is that : Works is so-so.or Work is busy etc etc. The people who probable enjoy work are probably the interns because they are kinda working but yet not really in a way. That aside, ever thought about what motivates you to work? For me, its still more of the passion than money. Speaking of which, it is really hard to balance at times too. I have heard of people quitting their banking jobs to be property agents (apparently the good and well ones can earn up to 120k a month). There are others who claim to be uninterested in a particular industry but ventured back because of the difficulty they faced in the other industry they claim to be interested in. How can one be sure what he/she is really interested in. Or could there be other underlying reasons. At this early stage of our career, truth is, no one can. Whatever it is I still cant see myself doing something i probably dont enjoy but earns alot. Maybe we are all driven by different goals.
ok i shall end off my ramblings here. I m sure i have lost many along the way.
