ahhhhhh so many projects n exams and homework! i thought i came here to enjoy life?
ha but anyway i mean i could just heck them all but i guess kai ling just like to work hard..
my new plant design project consist of 2 cute handsome n cool american dude plus me.. one with a really nice smile and eyes. that i could stare into. haha no, just joking. i m not interested in guys.period. my heart is dead. well in the sense. looking at blogs and photos of couples posing happily, or describing how happy they spent their aniversary and stuff doesnt make me feel like having a guy in my life right now.haha. right now i m just interested in seeing the world, experiencing new things.being independent..probably like what i am doing right now. there's so much out there to learn n explore. relationship. i guess are out of my life for the time being.

i recalled this conversation with a friend. haha when i told him i have sworn of relationship for the time being and will not get into one until i m ready for it. and i guess on my part i have a rather high expectations of one. and his reply was" i am happy for u. because u still have intentions to get married''
well that remains a mystery.
haha. but a few eye candies to look at is not a bad deal.

back to projects. oh yea sure thing they are cute. but i think they r the cool american dude who DOESNT do work. in fact i have heard complaints abt the other guy n he did not even turn up today!! sigh... whatever. grades are suppose to mean more to them than it is to me.
and then i have another huge project for my elective n my group consist of three unknown guys n me. SIGH. how come the professor dun put a girl in my group. bleah
and the worst thing is my projects are due the week after thanksgiving.but i have like plans for thanksgiving. SIGH isnt thanksgiving suppose to b for holiday.. like chinese new year?
and yea. two exams the week after this.. oct is a horrible month of exams and projects.

canoeing today was fun! i love it..although i know tomorrow, i'm gonna wake up to sore arms
but sorry to say i forgot my camera! so no pics..till i get them from other people..
but i love the scenery, the company and the weather, even though it was supposed to be like below 10 degreee celsius, it certainly didn't feel so!
i was lucky that my partner,heather is really good at canoeing since i HONESTLY do not know how to.. i mean i can't swerve, change direction or go straight. she's from wiscosin and is totally into outdoor sports.some kind of iron woman.she did those kind of marathon iron race kinda thing. and i spend my time talking to her about singapore, durian, dominican republic,how thanksgiving and christmas came about..and she's gonna be a doctor! in reconstructive surgery. and yea she commented i can speak good english too!
actually my partner was an indian guy(yes indian) but it ended up we both can't canoe and kept going into the rock at the side. so kailing threw her paddles up in exasperation and told him" i don't want u anymore!" haha
the scenery was really nice too..nice cool air..like those scenes u see in movies..where people go hiking kinda thing and then a monster or anaconda pops up. but no, nothing happened..it was a calm peaceful relaxing trip.. with crazy singing from some of the guys.
and then after the canoeing
some of us went to the mexican restaurant. ahhh 1st time trying mexican food. i asked maria to recommand a really good one because back in singapore, there are mexican food but i wouldnt know if they are authentic or similar to mexican's food. the food was nice though a little ex..but worth it since i have never tasted mexican food and really wanted to know what real mexican food was.

ok i got an exam next tue
got to study over the weekends. bleah. i got lotsa exams coming back
but i'll still have my fun somehow! =P

ahhaha cold cold day
stuck on some crap problems i can't solve..sighz..its so cold that i don't even feel like stepping out of my house =(

ahhh its amazing how alot of Rj girls my age or older are now dressing up so well.. like wearing beautiful makeup and clothes. like dress. and looking all mature and more attractive.
and then here i am. wearing my tshirt n pants. ugly specs. yup i wear spec most of the time i m here..with a slightly deranged look(haha) and hideous hair. but its ok. i think sooner or later we will all learn to pay more attention to looks..but its also like..u need the grass to make the flowers more seem more attractive right..
hahaha anyway there was this american girl who commented i don't look like my age. maybe she meant i look like a kid. cos when i told her i was 20 going on 21, she gave me a "oh really?!" look and said i look young..

and for now..gotta head back to some plant design.. as usual. i m hoping for a pass. i m not too sure about the rest of my group though...=/

memorial union.buchanan hall(where i stay).the lake in the sch.study abroad fair!check out the babe with us! she went to nus! today i actually promoted nus n singapore! hahaha it was quite fun..u know what is the question that almost everyone asked?''are the courses taught in english?'' haha ahhhhhhhhhhhhh i m so envious of the girl in yellow in the pic..she studied in nus for a sem,stayed in pgp n she had alot of fun travelling to msia,thailand, indonesia n hong kong. i have been in singapore for so long n i have not been to much SEA countries! =.=
haha and then i saw my freaky msian guy at the fair with his other friend who has a 101 question abt nus..hohoho i've been seeing alot of msian here..some r pretty nice. but i still prefer looking at the americans.they are better looking n hunkier..haha
n ok.today we had the design project. my bad breath boy played it cool by wearing a cap. but i just ignored him for the entire lesson n did my own stuff..well partly cos i was too engrossed in designing my crap distillation column..oh and one thing the professor in charge of my booth told me.. he is biased towards NUS. ntu people will kill me.. haha we are suppose to promote both uni but its like he prepared all sort of info and posters about NUS and kept telling the american student abt nus only.. hahaha ok la. i mean who cares abt what people in iowa think anyway right .ntu is good also right.no difference la=P

sunday was spent mugging
u cant kill the mugger personality in me. shipping me to ames here will still make kai ling a mugger. and it was raining anyway. i din feel like getting out. although greedy kailing was caught in the rain and she ran all the way back to the hall.the distance in which she ran was about that from science to engine. i hope i don't fall sick here.

theres a fair next tuesday where i m suppose to promote singapore and nus. i have not done anything yet. on one hand, i want to do my best to promote singapore n nus so that it reflects well on us..on the other hand.. i m simply too lazy.

and the worst thing is theres a canoe trip next sat at some river. ah i hope no crocodiles ah. but the thing is i have an exam on the monday after and two exam n one plant design project due 2 weeks later. it did not help that for the design project, theres a guy in my group with tremendous bad breadth,(ASIAN guy whose nationality will not be revealed). he is those slacker lazy worm kinda person. he doesnt contribute anything nor opens his mouth during discussion. but when he does open his mouth, i'll squirm and move away because the smell is horrendous.
this, is, i would say the type of guy i will never ever marry. ok throw me down the river if i do. kill me. not only does he have a poor sense of personal hygience, his outlook towards life n work is poor. i don't like slacker. u know. i don't the kind of people who pushes the work to others. they will never make it big.blah. blah blah. i m just ranting

i was saddened by his mum's passing
it was just a year ago we gathered at his house, where i saw his mum. preparing food for us. it seemed like only yesterday we were back in primary school. and that i've seen his mum.
